CRUDE: August WTI: $76.42/bbl, up $0.07/bbl. August BRENT: $76.40/bbl, up $0.13/bbl
Crude oil futures recovered some of the losses posted earlier in the session on the back of some weakness in the US dollar. However, losses in the stock markets and a crude oil build seen in the weekly statistics published on Wednesday were placing downward pressure on prices.
NAPHTHA: $650-660/tonne, up $2/tonne
Naphtha prices edged up on the back of a recovery in crude oil futures. Crack spreads for July remained rather weak at around minus $3.40/tonne. July swaps were pegged at $650-652/tonne.
BENZENE: $880/tonne down $10/tonne
June was offered at $880/tonne, with no bids heard. This was down from earlier bids and offers at $870-890/tonne. July bids were recorded at $840-845/tonne, while offers were at $855-860/tonne.
STYRENE: $1,055-1,070/tonne down $15-20/tonne
June styrene was valued at $1,055-1,070/tonne, down from Wednesday's trade at $1,085/tonne. A firm July bid/offer was heard at $1,055-1,065/tonne.
TOLUENE: $800-850/tonne, steady
